Automatic Push Notifications

How to set up an automatic push notification

Automatic push notifications are connected to regularly updated content in your app (eg: your blog or Facebook posts). They save you time by sending an automatic push notification every time you release your new content.

Once setup your app will detect your new content and automatically send out a new push notification to your app users, this new push links directly to your new content.

The first thing you will need to do is to log into your app management portal using the credentials we supplied to you when your app was released.

1: Setup

In the tab Users > Push > Schedule, you can schedule the automatic dispatch of notifications each time new content is added to one of your sections in your application. 

Select the concerned section of your application, possibly the sub-category, and if you want, add a prefix to your alerts (a little introductory text to your messages, in the example above, “New Article:” ).

You have the option to create an unlimited number of sending rules (avoid overwhelming your users with push notifications or you will run the risk of them deactivating notifications on their devices, and even uninstalling your app).

How To Send A Push Notification

Log In

Sending your push notification

To send push notifications to your users, go to the menu Users > Push > Send.

Type your message into the designated field.
A push notification is meant to be short, so the section is limited to 130 characters.

Important: Only users who have agreed to receive push notifications upon installing your app will receive messages.
